Coach Amorim Pledges He Won't Walk Away from United but Acknowledges Sack Awaits Should Performances Fail to Get Better

The Manchester United manager has stated emphatically that he will will not resign from his role despite the team's ongoing struggles, but he concedes that he faces dismissal should performances fail to improve.

Present Struggles & League Position

The head coach has managed just thirty-four points across his 33 Premier League matches, and Manchester United currently sitting 14th in the table after finishing 15th result last season. The Red Devils have managed just two victories in the first seven fixtures this campaign, which includes an early Carabao Cup exit at Grimsby as well as a recent loss against Brentford FC. This result prolonged Amorim's search to secure his first back-to-back Premier League victories after arriving nearly a year ago.

Yet that is not my decision and I think it would be really hard to leave unless I haven't do everything to follow my career at United.”

“It’s an honor to be here and I wish to stay here and I want to fight for success. However the problem at present what makes me suffer is to lose games, not to lose my position. You worry about to lose your role when you have to cover the bills but I don't feel that pressure.”

Explaining His 3-4-3 System

The 40-year-old additionally offered a spirited defense of his three-at-the-back system, that has been the focus for plenty of criticism. Amorim has deployed this setup in every game and it is so far failed to provide steady results desired.

“No one at the club is foolish,” Amorim said. “We know that the team must win to continue our plans. My aim is to see my team – winning or losing – performing consistently but we're not doing that.”

He noted that the team used in different systems with past coaches, also to no avail. “We need perform with consistency, with the same power, with the same intensity, with the same focus. If we do that, it doesn’t matter what the system is.”

Arrangements Regarding Mid-Season Exhibition Matches

Amorim announced plans to arrange high-revenue winter friendlies in order to boost funds missed by not qualifying for European competition. “We must organize these as we anticipated when we miss European football,” he said. “We have our fans and financial needs and we want to connect with our fans globally.”
